The Island Cats and the Roosevelt Island Princess YinYang Project
The Roosevelt Island Princess YinYang Project (RIPYY) was formed in 2005 to help cats abandoned on Roosevelt Island find homes or live in managed Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) colonies on the Island. More about the RIPYY project »
Adopt a Cat
Cats offered here for adoption have tested negative for FIV and FLV and live in foster homes on the Island. They come with a lifetime return guarantee. If you are interested in these cats or in signing up for other adoptable cats or kittens, please get in touch with us at (212) 593-1054 or contact@islandcats.org.
We welcome suggestions for this website and group. We also welcome names and phone numbers of Roosevelt Islanders who are interested in adopting Island cats, volunteering, or fostering a cat. We are also always in need of Styrofoam steak boxes for winter cat shelters. Dumping cats is not a solution. We can try to help you find affordable neutering.
